an ordinary sort of week

it all started in geneva... flew from leeds/bradford... £1.41 to offset the carbon... met by buddy at geneva airport... bag-drop then a scoo round nyon... whizzed past uefa... strong coffee and photo op... loal restaurant for family meal... many many fantastic prawns... sunday and we hit lausanne.. festival in progress... classical, neo-drone, nudity, chocolate, fondue, churches and castles... later on, into geneva on the train see r.e.m... great show... re-energised band... we are scientists good and skinny... monday missed my flight to gatwick... spent ages chasing a missing bag round the airport... got a later flight... three trains later got into ramada near excel... tuesday went to agile business conference... evening boat trip up the thames for speakers and sponsors... weds delivered keynote address... more comedy than content... more trains, more planes... got home late... thursday meetings over manchester... friday evening at leeds united academy with the boy... saturday junior footy v gomersall for the boy then off to blackpool... sat eve through the illuminations... sunday afternoon... the boy plays for blackburn rovers... wins and draws... sunday eve... off to halifax to see kate rusby... lovely as ever.
